"Jessica created an individualized music therapy program for my daughter who has Down Syndrome. My daughter was often withdrawn and very passive during her OT, PT, and ST sessions. Jessica developed a program that used music to motivate my daughter to be a more active participant in all of her therapies."

- "My 15 year old daughter has worked with Miss Jessica for 4+ years . She has an IEP, and has had difficulty with school and social interaction since birth. We met Miss Jessica through the Won by One program at church. She was a teacher on Saturday evenings. Meeting Jessica was such a blessing because my daughter loves her. Another thing my daughter needed was a way to express herself. She always had difficulty listening to teachers and she couldn't sit still. Through music therapy, she began to feel the rhythm of music that best helped her settle her mind and body. The sporadic movements and disoriented thoughts became organized through things like drum beats and through lyrics. To my amazement, Miss Jessica taught my daughter how to play the guitar, and they have serenaded me more than once with original ballads. The concentration that my daughter has developed to position her fingers on the strings and play a melody - I have been truly amazed. My goal was to help my daughter go do something that she enjoyed and that she could do by herself. Music connects us to each other and to ourselves. Miss Jessica has helped her express her feelings and manage her environment more effectively. She is wonderful and we LOVE her. Thank you, Miss Jessica."
